Becoming a Millionaire with Side Hustles (May 2025)

I’m beyond excited to share that my health took a major turn for the better this month. After dealing with Wilson’s Disease for a year and a half, and still feeling weirdly drained, I found out that Fanconi’s Syndrome was quietly messing with my potassium and phosphate levels. It explained why no matter how many electrolyte drinks I downed, I stayed weak and achy. So, I started taking targeted supplements, and it’s like someone flipped a switch—I can finally get stuff done without feeling like I’m dragging a dead battery around.

With this newfound energy, I tackled voice training on Alignerr and pulled in $1,100. The weird part? I got an email saying my contract was terminated, but I still have full access to the platform. I’ve been jumping in every morning, half expecting to see a big “ACCESS DENIED” banner. But so far, so good. I also spent way too many late nights on random survey sites, which somehow added up to $547. Stellar AI was a total ghost town this month, so no paycheck there, but DataAnnotation saved the day—I made $4,910 by training math and science models. It’s a bit mind-numbing, but a solid routine of “annotate for two hours, take a walk, annotate another two hours” in these remote work platforms keeps me sane.

In between all that, I decided to open a YouTube channel dedicated to unboxing gachapons. Don’t ask me why I thought that was a good idea, but apparently people love it—within a couple of weeks, I scored over 4,000 followers. I haven’t monetized it yet because I’m still figuring out how to film better close-ups without looking like I’m recording in a dimly lit closet. My Amazon KDP sales for low-content books stayed steady, nothing crazy, but every little bit helps pad the monthly totals.

On top of that, I’ve been having a blast hiding envelopes of money around my town in Nagaoka, Niigata, and teasing the scavenger hunts on social media. It’s a fun way to give back—and, let’s face it, it’s hilarious watching people run around deciphering my cryptic clues. My Discord has also been popping off with giveaways of gift cards, electronics, and the occasional extravagant item. The community is half helpful, half savage, but that’s what makes it so entertaining.

Now that I’m feeling decent, my plan is to build this nest egg until I hit around $35,000, then jump on either a small real-estate venture or some sort of automated business—stuff I’ve done before in my personal businesses and portfolio but never documented in this blog series. It’s risky but thrilling, and I can’t wait to see how it shakes out. Stay tuned, and as always, thanks for coming along for the ride.
