AutoQuill v0.12 Release Notes
AutoQuill 0.12 is here! This update focuses on sticky typing, making typing feel more natural and controllable, while also improving speed accuracy and cleaning up the Typing settings layout so it’s easier to scan and use.
What’s new in 0.12
🧴Sticky typing
You can now let AutoQuill type while you do other stuff. Turn on sticky typing and go play some games while AutoQuill does the work for you.
✅ More accurate typing speed (WPM)
Typing speed now tracks the configured WPM much more closely, so 60 WPM feels like 60, and 120 WPM feels like 120—especially on longer text runs.
We also clarified the WPM definition in the UI: AutoQuill uses the standard “5 characters = 1 word” rule.
🔄 New Reset button (run-state reset)
You can now hit Reset to instantly bring AutoQuill back to a clean “ready to start” state—without touching your text or saved settings.
Reset will:
Stop an active run immediately (Typing or Paused)
Clear any paused state so the next run starts clean
Reset progress back to 0 typed characters
Return status to Idle and reset the ETA/progress display
It will not:
Clear your text box
Change your saved settings/profile
🧩 Typing settings panel redesigned (cleaner, grid-aligned UI)
The Typing settings area has been reworked to feel aligned and intentional:
Controls are centered and balanced
Spacing is tighter and more consistent (less awkward empty space)
Controls line up visually like an “invisible grid” for easier scanning
Reset is placed logically under Hotkey (and before Loop)
Loop + Wait are presented together as one cohesive feature row
☕ Simulate Breaks (longer “human” breaks)
AutoQuill can now optionally take longer breaks at natural intervals while typing—useful for making longer runs feel less robotic.
You can configure:
How often breaks happen (by word range)
How long breaks last (by seconds range)
⏸️ Simulate Pauses (short micro-pauses)
For a more realistic cadence, AutoQuill can also inject short micro-pauses every so often while typing.
You can configure:
How often pauses happen (by character range)
How long pauses last (by seconds range)
⏯️ Pause/Resume with hotkey
During a typing run, the hotkey toggles Pause/Resume, letting you temporarily stop output without fully stopping the session.
