Jivaro Journal

Aims and scope for rigorous, useful research.

Jivaro Journal publishes peer-reviewed scholarly work in finance, science and health, and technology, with emphasis on analytical rigor, methodological clarity, intellectual seriousness, and research that helps clarify complex systems.

Journal aim

What Jivaro Journal is built to publish.

The journal prioritizes work that is clear, serious, reviewable, and useful to researchers, technical readers, policy-aware readers, practitioners, or interdisciplinary audiences.

Primary aim

Jivaro Journal aims to publish original scholarly work and structured review articles that make a clear research contribution within finance, science and health, technology, or carefully defined interdisciplinary areas.

Editorial standard

Submissions should present a clear question, transparent reasoning, appropriate evidence, methodological or analytical clarity, and conclusions that stay within the limits of the work.

Reader value

Accepted work should help readers understand a problem, evaluate evidence, interpret systems, compare frameworks, or build on a research contribution.

Section scope

Three equal research areas.

Finance, Science & Health, and Technology are presented as equal pillars. Interdisciplinary work is welcome when the research question, methods, and contribution are clearly defined.

01

Finance

The Finance section considers scholarly work in finance, financial systems, markets, investing, corporate finance, macro-financial analysis, financial risk, financial technology where the primary contribution is financial, and related areas of economic relevance.

  • Market structure and asset pricing
  • Portfolio analysis and risk management
  • Behavioral finance and financial institutions
  • Digital finance and monetary or financial policy
  • Comparative financial systems
02

Science & Health

The Science & Health section considers scholarly work in scientific, biomedical, public health, and health-adjacent fields where the submission presents a serious research, review, or analytical contribution.

  • Biomedical science and biology
  • Public health and applied health research
  • Aging, genetics, neuroscience, and mechanisms
  • Scientific synthesis and translational science
  • Ethics, consent, data handling, and integrity where applicable
03

Technology

The Technology section considers scholarly work in computing, software, systems, digital infrastructure, artificial intelligence, internet technologies, cybersecurity, human-technology interaction, and related technical domains.

  • Software systems and technical evaluation
  • Artificial intelligence and digital tools
  • Internet infrastructure and cybersecurity
  • Computational methods and applied systems
  • Technology policy where the contribution remains research-driven

Manuscript fit

Where a submission belongs.

Not every strong idea belongs in a peer-reviewed journal. This section helps authors decide whether their work fits Jivaro Journal or another part of Jivaro.

In scope

Original research, structured review, substantive analysis, technical evaluation, evidence synthesis, or research-driven interdisciplinary work with a clear question and contribution.

May be considered

Applied analysis, conceptual work, technical evaluation, policy-relevant research, or interdisciplinary manuscripts may be considered when the scholarly contribution is clear and reviewable.

Belongs elsewhere on Jivaro

Fast updates, current events, practical explainers, product commentary, tutorials, and general guides may fit News, Blog, or Apps better than Jivaro Journal.

Out of scope

Promotional writing, unsupported opinion, casual commentary, short unstructured essays, press-style articles, product marketing, or submissions without a clear research question are not ordinarily considered.

Gatekeeping standard

What the journal does not publish.

Jivaro Journal does not ordinarily consider material that falls outside its scholarly scope or is not prepared for formal editorial screening and peer review.

Not scholarly enough

Casual commentary, unsupported opinion, short unstructured essays, or content without a reviewable argument.

Not editorially independent

Promotional writing, product marketing, sponsored claims, or manuscripts designed primarily to advertise.

Not ethically ready

Work that misrepresents sources, lacks required disclosures, or fails applicable ethical standards.

Not review-ready

Submissions lacking a clear question, contribution, methods, structure, or suitable manuscript preparation.

Current article types

What the journal currently considers.

Jivaro Journal currently focuses on Research Articles and Review Articles. Additional article types may be introduced as the journal’s editorial workflow and publication program expand.

Before submitting

Scope fit does not guarantee review or publication.

Authors should review the Author Guidelines, Publication Policies, and Submission page before sending a manuscript. A manuscript can fit the journal’s scope and still be declined during editorial screening if it is incomplete, unsuitable, outside current editorial capacity, or not ready for external peer review.
